Transmission: Manual 5 Speed Color:Blue Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.9 reviews) GTI is a drivers car foremost. However, it does have some utility in two extra seats, (4 doors) and hatch for loading. Owned an A-3 for nine years and loved that car. The GTI, somehow is better, being quicker, more nimble, but just as well appointed and built. If you are not a driving enthusiast, pick something cheaper.

Transmission: Manual 6 Speed Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.75 reviews) We have owned this vehicle for a little more than 4 months. We already are having problems with it. I was stranded on the freeway. We are glad that we bought the 'Max Care warranty'; but still are very, very concerned about the reliability of it. So far the local VW dealer has diagnosed the problem as a fuel pump and sensor issue, but it keeps stalling and still at the dealer. We bought this car for emotional reasons. I got my drivers license in a VW BUG and we started dating in the same car. We really want to fall in love with this vehicle again, but wondering if this BUG has a permanent Virus!! The rating on this car would be a 2.5 out of 5 stars!!

Turbo Beetle

This was a good value for the money. It had just over 10,000 miles on it and is loaded. It has every option we could need except for Homelink and Navigation. A spare clicker and Waze met those needs. The car is fun to to drive and the Turbo Charged 2.0 L has plenty of power. If you are not careful when starting off, you can easily spin the tires. We traded another popular 2 seater convertible for this one and while we did not sacrifice the fun factor, we gained in the "comfort" factor. We are averaging in the mid 20's on miles per gallon for city.

Happiest compromise car. Ever.

The GTI is an excellent compromise car: do you have a 2 kids but still want a little performance? Do you need a good commuter, something with decent storage for grocery shopping? The GTI is right at the sweet spot for pragmatic and fun-to-drive... it checks all the boxes, and then some.

Great Driver's Car

Pros: -Simple, attractive, intuitive cabin -Great manual gearbox -Sharp, responsive steering -2.0L Turbo has a nice sound, good torque Cons -suspension gives feedback, sometimes too much on city roads -front seats lack adjustability, rear seats don't fold quite flat
