Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.9 reviews) It's a great hot hatch with great speed great looks and great sound. Fast but subtle. and still enough room to load it full of what ever you want. it has surprisingly more room in the back than than a sedan or hatch Subaru wrx. It's way more comfortable to sit it. Much more supportive seats and much nicer interior than a wrx. Lastly it's rare.

The best of everything with no compromises!

VW R

This car blends sportiness with everyday use. That's what I wanted when I bought it and that's what I get. Fuel mileage isn't as good as most contemporary vehicles but I get 25 mpg combined.

Pros

  • Power:
  • Seat Comfort:
  • Ride and Handling:

Cons

  • Fuel Economy:
  • Cost to Maintain:

Golf R. stop debating and get it!

It's a great hot hatch with great speed great looks and great sound. Fast but subtle. and still enough room to load it full of what ever you want. it has surprisingly more room in the back than than a sedan or hatch Subaru wrx. It's way more comfortable to sit it. Much more supportive seats and much nicer interior than a wrx. Lastly it's rare.

Pros

  • Styling: Looks fantastic but subtle. No large wings that say hey I'm fast.
  • Interior Space: Easily fit two road bikes inside with ample room. Back seats are very spacious even in the two door model
  • Weather Versatility: Bought it specifically over the GTI for the AWD. worth it. If you are in snowy climates.

Cons

  • Seat Comfort: i love the seats now. But when I originally purchased it I had a lot of back pain and it took a lot of adjustment to get it dialed in and prevent back pain.
  • Technology and Entertainment: The Bluetooth sometimes doesn't allow full access to my phone. Sometimes it displays the song on the screen and allows me to change songs. Sometimes it just say Bluetooth connected and I can't control it except through the phone. It's a little annoying.
  • Cost to Maintain: It's a VW. it costs more than a toyota. Duh. And if well maintained you can get them Togo just as far. Not really a con but a consideration I had when purchasing.
