Customer Review Summary for 2006 Volkswagen Jetta
VW Jetta TDI Sedan
2006 Volkswagen JettaFeWolf - NC05/02/2008
I have owned my since 2006, bought it used, very low mileage. I am very impressed with mileage, I am getting 48 city and 55 HWY, one tank a month back and forth to work and errands. The only trouble I have had is with the front bottom dam, which seems very low and hits speed bumps around my area, going very slowly. It has caused alittle trouble , and have had the raditator bracket trouble, and had it replaced. Only trouble I have had is with the Dealership.
I have 63,000 miles on her, I tavel alot to Va., and Ga., plus run the family around, one 2 complaints I have is one The cup holder placement and seats, on a long trip the kill my back.
Suugestions: Get a perfromance aftermarket chip, I have reached up to 62mpg HWY, with the price of diesel it is worth it and there are a few that will not void the warranty.
GLI is worth every penny...
2006 Volkswagen JettaGB383 - CT03/03/2009
We had a bit of glitch with the check engine light early in our ownership, but once resolved it has been smooth sailing. For the money the GLI is easily a world beater. A4, 325, and C classes are all envious of what the GLI offers and the price paid, yes its VW, get over it, and you will be rewarded.
2006 Volkswagen JettaLen - Houston07/07/2009
I traded in a 2008 CTS for this vehicle to get out from under a big payment. So there is no way a Jetta could get 5 stars from me. (CTS is the perfect 4 door car).
I have been very happy with the car so far. Handles well, I do get road noise compared to the CTS but not near as bad as my in-laws Ford Focus. A?C in the back seats is limited but the Jetta has a weird device that switches the center dash vents from blowing straight our to blowing up over the ceiling. Which helps out quite a bit.
Very happy, go buy one.
