I would buy and I am planning on buying another Jetta. Yesterday a woman flew through an intersection at about 60mph and t-boned me in my drivers side. I walked away with no serious injuries. I have some bruised ribs, neck, shoulders, and back and a nasty burn on my neck from the seat belt, but considering what could have been.... my doors were bent in touching the seats. If my Jetta hadn't been so well built I might have been hurt worse. All of the side air bags saved my head. Even as hard as I was hit none of the glass broke. Before the accident I loved the Jetta she handled great and had a smooth ride. Repairs are a little pricey but its worth it. On top of her being well made she also was awesome looking I loved all the chrome! The inside lights are set to look like a cockpit of an airplane very cool! If your thinking of buying a VW do it.
I absolutly love my Jetta. I still cannot believe that I got so many extras for such a low price. The warranty with Volkswagen is amazing and I still had 46000 miles left on the original warranty. The only problems that I have had with it was that the fuse had blown to the seat heaters and the airbag light came on both of which were covered under the Volkswagen warranty and were fixed with no hassle and no charge. I recommed calling Volkswagen and giving them your information so that you can be abreast of any recall or pertinant information. The sound system in the Wolfsburg edition is amazing. All of my friends think that I have after market speakers. I was pretty bummed about not being able to get all of the features that I wanted and a standard transmission but the triptonic transmission is awesome. It has a sport mode with a ton of get up and go and you can also switch to manual shifting if your heart so desires. The ride is amazing and smooth. The gas mileage is also another big plus. I have taken a couple of road trips since I have gotten it and I average about 450 miles to the tank when I am driving highway. Because the Jetta has such superior safety ratings my insurance has also gone way down. The trunk space is huge and you can also flip down all of the seat including the front passenger seat. All in all I love my Jetta and my roommate is even considering trading in her Honda for one.
