Customer Review Summary for 2009 Volkswagen Jetta

My Jetta

2009 Volkswagen Jetta Candy - , 03/07/2013

I am so happy with this car. Its a 5 speed manual transmission which can be hard to find sometimes. The car handles amazingly well on the surface streets and has plenty of giddy up on the freeway. The safety rating is amazing as well. This is the second Jetta I have owned and wouldn't buy anything else.

Jetta Wolfsburg DSG

2009 Volkswagen Jetta eyrieowl - Houston, TX 09/07/2010

I bought the Jetta Wolfsburg because I was looking to get the highest performing 4 door sedan that I could with the lowest miles for under 20k. I probably wouldn't have even considered looking at Volkswagen otherwise. However, that would probably have been a mistake. I've been pleasantly surprised by what the car has to offer. The interior is solid, comfortable, and is pleasantly appointed. The exterior...isn't exciting, but it's a clean design which doesn't waste any effort on pretending to be something it's not (say, with the pretend air rams and other faux stylings of some cars). The 2.0 litre turbocharged engine is peppy and fun to drive, and the suspension is solid and fairly stiff without being uncomfortable. I'd personally prefer something a little stiffer, but it does strike a useful balance between performance and comfort. I have the DSG transmission, which I quite enjoy. The Sport vs Drive mode can be very useful, and I like being able to switch it over into 'manual' mode if I so desire. My previous car was a manual, and while there were things I enjoyed about that, I really like that every shift in this car is 'perfect', never misses a gear, shifts quickly every time. It's definitely consistently speedy on the shifts in a way a human never could be. Pros: Driving performance (engine, transmission, traction control, stability control) Price Interior styling Good-sized trunk Cons: Interior storage (very limited) Missing some amenities (notably auto-headlights) Only 1 in-cabin lighter socket

Great Car

I love my zippy little car. The Jetta is super responsive and has a nice strong engine for its small size.
