2015 Volkswagen JettaScott T - Parker, CO12/21/2015
Affordable, sporty, and fuel efficient...for now. This is a terrific car. Has all the features anyone could ask for. Drives great! Sporty TDI engine makes the car fun to drive. Does pretty good in the snow with all season tired and would probably be great with snow tires. I would recommend to anyone who wants and great car at a fair price.
Great car but...

I learned part of the exhaust system has a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) that is very expensive to replace. Many are go approximately 120,000 miles. I estimate Ill have another 30,000 miles before mine needs replacing. Hoping that with the imminent emissions recalls, it will get handled by VW.
Do not buy a diesel if you only do short trips. You will kill the DPF fast.
Fun / economical. In S mode - 1.8 Turbo really provides a kick. When it spools up it really feels like it has another 30-40 hp. VW dealer was great recently, and did a software update and it now shifts smoother than ever. Lots of backseat room and trunk room, easy to drive and park and lots more engaged driving experience compared to a civic sedan.
