Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4 reviews) We had to get rid of my 1/2 ton pickup due to a growing family and I can honestly say I don't regret the swap for a minute. The interior space is great and it's actually fun to drive. It handles much tighter than most sedans and it doesn't have the "minivan" feel and body roll when cornering. I had heard all the horror stories about VW Maitanence costs but because it's based on the Chrystleg platform I have had no problems at my local shop. Plus it's nice to get the occasional compliment about how good your minivan looks.

Love the Routan

We bought a VW Routan Minivan for our every-growing family. It has the most comfortable seats of all the minivans and looks fantastic inside and out. We installed a rear DVD system which my kids and I love. Tons of cargo space. Only 7 seats (compared to 8 in the Sienna) but that's more than we need and also allows more space in between the 2nd row club seats. My only complaint about this car is its pickup when driving on ECO mode - coming from a dead stop to 10 mph, it has one little moment when the car jerks. Love the look of the van on the outside too - very modern, clean lines. We bought it in silver which does not show much dirt or grime. Smaller turning radius than the Sienna. Another thing to notice when buying the 2011 is the gasoline: it has the capability of using E85 or regular gas. E85 is difficult to find in the area I live in. I know i would get better as mileage using that type of gas though. We really love this car and wish we had bought a minivan sooner! Still feel super cool when driving it!

2010 VW Routan

We did a lot of research into mini-vans and ended up with a VW 2010 Routan. After test driving the Chrysler Town & Country, we felt that the comfort and quality that the Routan offered edged out the T&C. It also helped that we found a low mileage practically brand new Routan for a great price. The Stow-n-Go seating option for the T&C and Dodge Caravan are definitely a nice feature but the middle seats are small and uncomfortable. We wanted a minivan to haul people and not stuff so we felt that we just wouldn't use the Stow-n-Go seats that much. The VW Routan has nice captains chairs in the middle row which we thought would be much better for us. If we really need to haul something big in our Routan the back seat still folds flat which still gives us quite a bit of storage space. Also, you still get the in floor storage under the middle row of seats. The other thing that we really liked about the Routan was the overall look of it. We felt that it has a slightly more refined look than the Town and Country and the Dodge Caravan. This is really a matter of preference but for us we felt it looked a little bit nicer. What we like: - Captains chairs in the middle row - Vehicle Entertainment System (Dual DVD Players) - UConnect option (bluetooth) - Storage options - Handling/suspension (Drives nicely) - Leg room in middle and back row - Seating comfort - Overall body style and comfort What we don't like: - 3.8L Engine struggles slightly when climbing hills - Fuel economy could be a little better - Middle captains chairs don't adjust front to back, they only recline - Passenger side leg room is a little bit tight for a taller person. Driver side is fine. - When video screens are down and passengers are sitting in the back row the driver's view out the rear-view mirror is obstructed. (However, this is probably a problem with most minivans)

You forget it's actually a minivan
