Used 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan S for Sale
Reviews for 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan
Love the comfort, love the ease of maneuvering in traffic. Found overall cargo space a little smaller than I thought-still needed to buy a bike rack for my bike. Lights and mirrors are great for older eyes and heavy traffic, parking. Would love to have a slightly wider view from the driver's window-if not adjusted just right, there is still a small blind spot. Gas mileage and price of gas is the only thing that would make me thing twice about purchasing again-requires 91 or > Octane and gets more like 18-19 miles /gl in town, only about 24 on the road and that is on cruise so I do think twice about just driving around with gas prices where they are now. Love to drive the car- it is "Just fun to drive!" I feel like the Roadrunner-MEEP MEEP!
Continuing the VW legacy
As I was considering what next car I should purchase, of course my mind naturally resonated toward the VW. It's what I know and love. I wanted something bigger (I was driving a VW Jetta) but I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. *Oh, and it HAD to be manual. No exceptions. Every time I went to the VW website, I built a Tiguan every time cause it was a bit bigger and it came in manual. Amazing to me that that was one of the first cars I saw and test drove the day I went out there. By the time the test drive was over, I got that "mmm, I like this." feeling and walked away thinking this is a definite contender. After trying a few other vehicles (yes, the VW Toureg was one of them, which doesn't come in manual) my mind was made up. She's bigger (yes, a she) with WAY more knee room than my Jetta ever did. I like that she's higher off the ground too. So far, the gas to mileage ratio seems within a pretty decent range. My other half never felt comfortable in my Jetta but is much more eager to have me drive, since buying the Tiguan. I like the placement of the cup holders, the rear view windshield, and I've never had a hatchback before and so far, it's much more accessible. I had a sunroof in the Jetta (didn't use it much) and do not have one in the Tiguan which is FINE with me. I appreciate the extra head room I have now. *Did I mention she's manual too? :) Plus now I have the temperature listed right in front of me and I like that the dashboard is more digital. The placement of the knobs, etc are very comfortable and I like the the interior light goes on when you shut the car off to gather your belongings and exit. It's only been a few months now and I still get that giddy feeling when I know I am driving EXACTLY what I had always envisioned. The clincher was purchasing the maintainance package up to 127K miles... that way I can drive her with ease, knowing how finacy the VWs can be sometimes. *If your a VW owner, you know what I mean. I am looking forward to enjoying the heck out of my car, as time goes on. Happy VW owner here.
