Drivability, quality and simplicity in the cabin. I'm sold on VW/Audi for best driving cars with simple, no nonsense dashboards and quality materials - all for a reasonable price with no repair sticker shock. Yeah, they cost a few dollars more, but they're worth every penny. Not quite a BMW (owned a 325 conv), but not that expensive either, and repairs are far, far cheaper. I own a GTI which I like even better. If you can handle it, reach for the Tiguan with the suspension options (for even bigger grins).
Overall quality is top notch. Features are standard and compared to other brands, the R version stands above others. There is no such thing as a good price on the wrong car. Price maybe higher, but the return to you now and in the future will be better. It will get you there or anywhere you want to take it.
