I was looking for a SUV to replace a 1996 Range Rover. I wanted a vehicle with better gas mileage and less expensive to run. I also needed an SUV that would be great in snow, as we get snow in the winter. I have done my research on this vehicle, so I know what to expect from this car. I have now had the vehicle for a month and really enjoy it. I am spending less in gas every week and still have the luxury I wanted. It felt comfortable from the moment I stepped in. If you want a SUV, this is a great value for the money.
I have a Black 2006 Touareg...love it. Heavy car....drives like a Bimmer....but gets more stares because they're not as common. Interior is on par with Porsche Cayenne. Fit and finish are outstanding. Mine is a V8. To be totally honest, gas mileage is AWFUL. But, this is a luxury sports utilty vehicle...its not supposed to be a Kia!
