Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.5 reviews) Bought this car for my wife with 15K miles on it. Now have 36K and some thoughts. First, we both really like this car. Great seats, styling, performance. We did initially have trouble with water in the rear floor which I determined to be coming from the sunroof drains (tubes in A-pillars too short. I corrected myself after reading very helpful info online in a couple volvo forums. I see that tire wear is going to be an issue and maintaining correct pressure, alignment and doing rotations every 5K miles is very important. The tires on our car looked new at 15K and now at 36K are about done but I think I only rotated them twice and they were also not highly rated tires. Thinking about some Continentals, Goodyears or Yokahamas next. (R-Designs use 18" low profile tires and high quality tires are not cheap.) I will be watching the next set of tires closely as tire wear is about the only common complaint I hear about these cars. As of now, we're still loving this car its unique styling and quality construction. I almost forgot to mention, my wife test drove a regular T5 and when she got into the R-Design we weren't even out of the parking lot before she commented on liking the feel of it much better.

Unique and Stylish

I just purchased a 2011 Volvo C30 T5 R-Design about a week ago and I love this car. I traded in my SUV which I also loved, but because was tired of driving around in a vehicle that required premium gas and I averaged 17 miles to the gallon I was ready for a change. I researched this vehicle and once I stumbled upon one I purchased it. This car is unique on the inside and out, I feel very safe in it even though it is smaller than my previous vehicle, it is definetly a head turner because they are so rare. You will not be disappointed!

Gas saver? Not really...

Not saving a whole lot on gas. Getting only about 22.5 per gallon. Expecting around 28-29 per gal as advertised. even if you do your own maintainence, Chou can't reset the computer that reads, maintanence overdue, which is a little bothersome. Not a whole lot of room, passengers must navigate out of the backseat like they are going through some sort of obstacle course having to get passed the narrow opening which the seatbelt is in the way so it's easy to get tangled up. Other wise, great power, easy to maneuver and park. Engine noise is loud and you can feel every little bump. The car sits so low that it makes the ordinary driveway seem like a steep mountain that if not handled correctly, the front end scrapes.
