Superior engineering. elegant folding top. Trunk space! A rear seat people can actually sit in. Comfortable. Great fuel economy. We've owned this car since 2014. We discovered it when we rented one for a couple of weeks in 2012. Taking a two week "test Drive" we really came to appreciate Volvo's engineering and attention to detail with this model. You won't find big screens (or any screens) in this car. It's a drivers car. Handling is very predicable and as I noted braking is the best I've ever felt. With the top down wind buffeting is minimal. The 5 cylinder turbocharged engine runs on regular fuel and is designed to enhance fuel economy. Power is more than adequate for any legal driving. Highly recommended.
Wonderful hardtop convertible that is quiet with the top up or down. Silky smooth engine and transmission and plenty of pep. With the top up there is room in the trunk for my wife's wheel chair (a compact travel size model) and enough luggage for 3 people...but the back seat is a bear to get in or out of. With the top down access is great but only room for the wheel chair and two duffel bags. Best stereo I've ever heard with two factory sub-woofers. Navigation system is primitive at best; useless! I get 22 mpg in town and 31 on the hwy from the little 5 cylinder turbo-charged engine. She's a head turner, too. The top mechanism was designed for Volvo by Pininfirina in Italty and it's a marvel of engineering.
The C70 has been everything I expected. It is comfortable and fun to drive. It handles well and in the limited time I have owned this car I do not regret choosing it over a hard top convertible like the BMW or Lexus. I drove all three makes before making my purchase. Limited trunk space with the top down but this is true for all similar makes. The C70 does have more rear seat room than the others. Thus far no complaints. Although it suggests a higher octane fuel it does well on regular. The computer appears to adjust well and there is no nocking. Looking forward to better weather so I can have the top down more often. Quiet ride with top up and not too much noise with top down.
