Transmission: Automatic Color:White Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (3.667 reviews) I bought my 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i a couple months ago, and I have be thuroughly pleased with it ever since. The things I find the most impressive about the car are things I wasn't even necesarily interested in when looking at various vehicles. The driver instrument panel and location of the controls on the center console are simplistic yet intuitive - there is a very perfect balance between design and functionality, and the Volvo engineers have reached near perfection with this one. The car looks fantastic, and there is no doubt in my mind that I am about as safe as I could be in a car while driving ... it also helps that it is appealing to the eyes as well. The only reservation I have about the car is that the acceleration could be a little peppier, but it still has a considerable amount of power for its class. It is also much cheaper than most competing luxury sedans like the BMW 500 series. All around it is just a great car to own and drive.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Gray Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (3.667 reviews) I purchased a 2006 S40 2.5T AWD sedan. So far the vehicle has been a wonderful purchase. Other than a Volvo recall to fix the radio interference problem, I haven't had a moment's trouble. Everyone from the salesperson to the service advisor has been a pleasure to work with. Overall, I would say that the model I purchased compares favorably to the BMW 3-Series. While not as flashy or quick, the car looks nice traveling down the road and costs $$$ less doing so.

I love my Volvo

It's been good to me overall, despite what others warned me about previously. Everyone told me that it would be expensive to own a Volvo and that I'd experience problems. My experience has not borne that out at all. The only expenses I've had have been routine maintenance (brakes, a headlight, new belt at 120K, etc). The styling is super cute and expensive looking. I get asked all the time about my "expensive" Volvo. So, it's definitely been worth it for the professional image that I like to project. :-) The car is small which makes it easy to get around town in, and easy to park.
