I bought the volvo s80 because of the reviews I had seen on the volvo website and consumer reports. Because a new one is so expensive a used one was just fine with me. It has all the features I wanted, is comfortable handles excellent. I am thrilled it is made of metal and not fiberglass all around. That is really important for me for safety. The only downside I can say is the gas mileage is not that great, but it is a heaver car so not that big of a deal. Would I recommend it to someone else. Yes

The swedes continue to impress me with innovation, style, and comfort. No complex "i-drive" to distract you while driving. All controls are straight forward and easy to find and use. Volvo does some of the best turbo engines in the world, and the turbo six is a real treat to drive. Highly recommend.

This car just glides if the road is smooth enough. You never get tired of driving this vehicle. Except that the cup holder is weak and parts are expensive, I would drive this vehicle for life time. I have driven a volvo that is a later year model and found that drive is not nearly as smooth. If you want a Volvo, buy an old one (before 2000 models).
