Solid Wagon but Not for Everyone
2010 Volvo XC70Samsungman - , 08/12/2013
Researched heavily prior to purchase, so I knew what I was getting into. Recently got into a big accident (my '10 Cadillac SRX got tatalled), so safety was definitely a priority.
PROS: 1. Great cabin. Most comfortable car seats I've ever experienced and very quiet. Lots of glass give more airy atmosphere. 2. Simple yet high quality interior fittings (some may think "outdated") 3. Sooo much room. Went 2 campings and my 5'5" wife slept in the flat rear comfortably. 4. Solid performance at high RMP (freeway)...AWD big plus going camping.
CONS: 1. Drinks gas (AWD; good thing no premium fuel required). Avg. 18 MPG overall. 2. Drives heavy. Sluggish during stop N go (still trying to get used to it) 3. Weak AC. Front passengers are okay, but rear passengers have to deal with hot air from the cargo space. 4. My driver side seat is warmer (maybe something wrong w/ seat warmer) 5. Navigation is controlled with a remode. Really? 6. It's a wagon...not the sexiest thing (no one thinks it's a off-roading capable X-Country vehicle.)
Conclusion: If you are family oriented and goes on lots of trips w/ kids and not your commuter, buy it. Don't need luxury brand (quieter, plusher) and want to save money? Buy Subaru Outback AWD.
Nothing compares to the feeling of the wind whipping your hair back as you cruise in a well-built convertible. Well, almost nothing—the feeling of getting a great deal on your vehicle purchase is definitely a close second. You can enjoy both of these awesome sensations at the same time by selecting a high-quality convertible that sells for less than $20,000.
Luxury cars come in all shapes and sizes, but they are all expected to look good and perform well. One advantage of buying a used luxury car is that you get the luxury look-and-feel that you want at a more affordable price.
Henry Ford once famously told customers that his Model T came in any color they wanted, so long as that color was black. That was over 100 years ago. Today, the vehicles available to us come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, with a profusion of available options and features. Whether you're shopping for a quality used vehicle, or you want to take the plunge with a new car, 2017 is a great time to see what's available.
