This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Carmax. I had two Tundra's in the past and loved both of them -- with one problem -- my wife hated driving them because they were too big and hard to park. The Tacoma is the right size found in another state through Carmax with the right package at the right price. We opted for the long bed which makes the truck very versatile. The bed is large enough for a 4X6 piece of plywood with the tailgate shut. The towing package makes hauling our utility trailer a breeze. The V-6 engine has excellent power. The only negative is that because the truck is smaller than a Tundra, I thought the mileage would be better. Get 18 in town -- same as Tundra.
It's simple with no frills that can be intimidating. This is my first truck, and I use the truck bed in some way every day. I love it! It's not too big so I can manage most any situation. I've already had two offers to sell it, and I haven't even had it a year. I'll never sell my truck!
This truck gets great gas mileage, drives smoothly, and looks great. I bought it as my son’s first vehicle and he just loves it. It’s a great safe truck that gives me peace of mind while he’s driving it.
