5 reasons to buy the 2018 Hyundai Elantra

1. Only compact outside

The 2018 Hyundai Elantra may be a compact car, but it still has plenty of space on the inside. The Elantra sedan can hold up to 14.4 cu-ft of cargo in its trunk. Trips to the grocery store will be easy and, considering that is above average for a small vehicle, you've got even more reason to look at the 2018 Elantra. There are plenty of small storage areas up front to keep your important items safe while driving or away from prying eyes while parked.

2. Tons of trim levels

Everyone wants more choices and the 2018 Elantra has a great variety of trim levels so you can find exactly what you are looking for. There are six trim levels for the 2018 Elantra starting with the well-equipped base SE model. The SEL trim adds comfort and convenience features like push-button start and dual-zone automatic climate control. From there you have the option to focus on fuel economy (Eco), luxury features like leather seating (Limited), or road-hugging performance (Sport). For a good mix of everything check out the Elantra Value Edition.

3. Great engine options

The 2018 Elantra offers a great mix of economy and performance. Those looking to maximize fuel economy should check out the Elantra Eco, which has an EPA-estimated 32 mpg city and 40 highway mpg. If you would like a bit more power, the standard engine on SE, SEL, Value Edition, and Limited trims is a 2L four-cylinder with 147 hp (up from 128 hp in the Eco). If you are feeling the need for speed, test-drive the Elantra Sport, which has 201 hp and can be had with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

4. Tech and convenience

You shouldn't have to sacrifice technology and convenience in a compact car. The 2018 Elantra delivers standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto connectivity included on all trim levels but the base SE. While the base trim has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, there are seven-inch and eight-inch versions available on higher trim levels. If you are looking for a next-level audio experience, look for the optional eight-speaker Infinity® audio system (Premium and Ultimate packages).

5. It's got your back

Things can get a little treacherous out there, but the 2018 Elantra will have your back on the open road. Even the base SE has standard vehicle stability management, traction control, and anti-lock brakes. The SEL adds a rearview camera and driver aids like blind spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and lane change assist. Those wanting to maximize driver aids should check out the Ultimate Package which gets it all, including lane departure warning (and intervention), adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
