Pros

• Ride and Handling

  The X4 XDrive30i is a small SUV that rides like a sports car. I was initially hesitant to buy a SUV because I have always owned sedans. However, I love the size and handling of this BMW. The transmission has 3 drive modes--comfort, eco, and sport--that are peppy and a pleasure to handle in a variety of driving conditions. Lastly, unlike larger SUVs, the X4 is very easy to climb in and out of without either feeling cramped or the need for extra long legs.

Cons

• Cost to Maintain

  Although I haven't yet had a need to take my X4 in for either routine or significant maintenance, I anticipate the cost will be high. This assessment is based on previous experiences with BMWs.

  Only thing didn't realize was that with a m series you do tend to go through gas a little bit more frequently.

• Cargo Space

  With the slapback top for the X4 there is a shortage of cargo. only fits about 24 to 28-in suitcases, I say that's something else that didn't really pay attention to when I bought the vehicle.
