Nice car! 2017 Chevrolet Sonic

Pros

  • Fuel Economy

Small car, nice looking and 32 MPG combined city/highway

  • Visibility

    Very small blind spot areas.

Cons

  • Cargo Space

Small cargo space, but that's what you get when you purchase a compact car. For the size of the car, the trunk is fairly large

  • Cabin Noise

Not the quietest car, but for a compact car- not too bad.

Nice-driving small car 2017 Chevrolet Sonic

      Pros

      • Cabin Noise

This car is quieter inside than older small cars I've owned.

      • Cargo Space

Cargo space is reasonable for such a small vehicle. It has generous trunk space and a fold-down seat to fit larger items (with driver and maybe one passenger only)

      • Ride and Handling

It's comfortable to drive on good roads. Once you hit bad roads, it'll have all the small car bouncing and discomfort that plague all small cars.

      Cons

      • Technology and Entertainment

Since 'features' wasn't included, I had to pick the next-closest 'con'. There is no cruise control on the LS trim. However, if you register your LS Sonic with Chevrolet, you can buy the cruise control parts online, have them shipped to your dealer and installed there as well. That's what I did.

      • Fuel Economy

The Sonic isn't terribly fuel-efficient. I get an average of 21.1 MPG, tops with regular, cheap ethanol-infused gas. I did experiment with 100% gas (no ethanol) and the average mileage went up to just 23.2 MPG. That's probably not worth the extra cost associated with 100% gas.

      • Seat Comfort

I got a cushion from Amazon that helps with the hard-ish driver's seat. I also want to include that the seats are all-manual, and so are the windows and mirrors. If you have multiple drivers of this vehicle, you'll be adjusting mirrors MANUALLY all the time.

cool little car 2017 Chevrolet Sonic

      Pros

      • Fuel Economy

        pretty inexpensive to fill up.

      • Technology and Entertainment

has all the cool features like rear view camera, Bluetooth and touch screen dashboard

      • Ride and Handling

smooth ride, no roughness or issues accelerating

      Cons

      • Cabin Noise

you can hear nearly everything going on in and out the car.

      • Weather Versatility

because of the drivetrain, I wouldn’t be able to take this up in the mountains to see my brother.

      • Braking

it stops a bit rough and I tend to be gentle on it.

Good basic car 2017 Chevrolet Sonic

      Pros

      • Fuel Economy

        saves me money

      • Safety

        good insurance rating

      • Dashboard

        easy to check conditions

      Cons

      • Cabin Noise

        too much tire sound
