Fuel Economy

I consistently average over 30mpg and it's a good little agile car for driving to work each day.

Power

Plenty of speed and agility without going through a lot of gas.

Reliability

It's to early to say if these cars will be reliable. I've had no significant issues with mine, but they are new to the market and there are some quirks that come with these unique cars. Most issues have been corrected with software updates.

the mix between the turbo charged 1.3l engine and electrical motor provides an exciting ride with plenty of power and good handling characteristics

Reliability

We parked the Hornet during our 3 week vacation to return a completely dead car. Battery was so drained that it could not be charged. Seems that the Hornet electronics have enough parasite power requirements that will drain the battery completely unless it is periodically charged. I installed a new battery, but I still had to take the car to the dealer to re-program / calibrate all the electronic functions..... and there is a lot of them! Something to keep in mind....
