As advertised…22 mpg in the city, and 36 on the road!
Power
I was worried about a 4 cylinder having enough power to get on the freeway with short ramps and busy traffic. This little car is a rocket!
Technology and Entertainment
It is an older car, but it replaces a 2000 Lincoln; so the info on the dash and the entertainment system are superb.
Reliability
Old reviews say this is the model that had the most callbacks. I have not experienced any yet.
Reliability
This is my second Escape when my first Escape had an engine issue. After looking at a lot of different vehicles, I just like the size. I do not need a lot but the inside is the right size for what I would want to do. It is easy to get in and out of. My elderly parents can get in and out easily.
Interior Space
I do not have children at home anymore, but there are still times I like to transport things bigger than a bag. Having the option to put cargo in is an added plus.
Ride and Handling
I just like the car and how it rides/handles.
Technology and Entertainment
I went from 2016 Escape to a 2013; the tech is definately an issue. I miss my backup camera.
Cabin Noise
It is not the quietest car to ride in, but it is not bad. I am sure if I bought a more expensive brand and type, I would not have a lot of road noise. I also bought an older version of the Escape.

Really, the noise isn't too bad, but on the highway people that I am talking to on bluetooth often ask if my window is open.

Gas and brake pedal really close together and ignition awkward spot to insert key. None of these are "deal breakers" but take some getting used to !!
