Technology and Entertainment
my biggest, silliest gripe is that the stereo is so hard to use. Changing stations is really irritating and I can’t figure out why.
Styling
Although the styling on the Ford Escape did not initially appeal to me, I really like the sport/blackout package this one is equipped with. This takes the Escape from dowdy to sporty with just some black trim and wheels.
Power
The 2.0 liter Ecoboost engine in the Escape makes plenty of power. Some may consider it a bit thirsty, but given the power, I have no complaints. Merging is not a problem at all.
Technology and Entertainment
Apple Car Play was not available on the 2017 Escape, so you do not get the versatility of having an accurate on-screen GPS with the functionality of Apple Car Play. The standard Ford SYNC system is OK - but it is much better with Car Play.
Seat Comfort
Very comfortable with leather interior seating. I’m not a small guy and it’s plenty comfortable.
Fuel Economy
it has plenty of power but if you drive the speed limits and use care in acceleration and braking, stated EPA mileage (22-28 mpg) can be exceeded.
Power
Ecoboost Turbo charged Four cylinder has plenty of power
Cabin Noise
poor surface street conditions amplifies the mediocre cabin noise suppression.
