• Seat Comfort

  Luxurious seating for six adults

• Fuel Economy

  Gets better mileage than our 2013 Ford Escape—and the Explorer is much larger

• Cargo Space

  Third row seats disappear at the touch of a button revealing plenty of cargo space

  Decent gas mileage unless you use all 400 HP regularly which I don't. It is fast, 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds if you need it.

  Not loud but a bit more than my 2019 F150 diesel

  lots of power- 3 Liter V with twin turbo. Accelerates quickly. Has every option available. No rattles or squeeks. Color(deep rust) is striking- many complements. Has 4 captains chairs and they are extremely comfortable for long trips. Has massage and heat. Also cooling for summer. I ordered and installed wood accents for doors and dash which looks fantastic in combo with the paint color. The stereo is fantastic with many many speakers(Bang & Olafson). Ride is very smooth. I have a Cadillac ATS V which is very nice and very explosive. Currently I enjoy driving the Explorer more. It is my winter car with the 4 wheel drive but I drive it a lot more than the Cad. I had no idea I would like this vehicle so much. I traded in a heavily modified WRX STI 540 crank HP rally capable car for this Explorer and have not looked back.

  this vehicle is fully loaded. Has adaptive cruise control, massaging seats, heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheel. The comfort of this vehicle is amazing.

• Interior Space

  with the third row seat, we have plenty of room for everybody when we have visitors

• Fuel Economy

  getting 19.8 miles to the gallon on average, which is amazing for an SUV

  I have owned Ford Explorer’s since they first came out with the model. I absolutely love the trim details on my used 2020 model. There are so many safety and luxury features. The car has great pick up, solid, smooth drive, and looks amazing.

• Interior Space

  I love the interior space and two bucket seats in the middle. I love the cargo space for my dogs and yet the option for using a third row. The interior is roomy, the driver seat has many options for the driver to get comfortable. The seat has so many options, steering wheel pull out, up or down for your personal comfort. There is even massaging seats for the front and of course, the best part is cooling or heating front seats.

  The car has great power and would have no trouble towing.

  My only complaint is the gas mileage, however, it’s slightly better than my former year but I knew that going in.

• Reliability

  I had an exhaust leak and the flex pipe was worn at 34k miles! Part of the repair was covered under my extended warranty but the other was not. This should not have happened at 34,000 miles!

• Ride and Handling

  Due to the performance model, it is a bit noisy in the cabin but mostly on surface streets. It has a smooth, quiet ride on the freeway and handles great. I am very pleased with this car.

  This is my second Explorer. I have really liked the overall design of the vehicle over the years.

Cons

• Fuel Economy

  The Explorer likes the open road. The gas mileage is actually pretty good, I am averaging about 24 to 25 miles per gallon. However, in every day commuting in Econo mode the milage drops to about 17 to 18.
