  This mini truck can fit a bed full of gear, my wife and I, and two kids in car seats. And I generally get better gas mileage than it is rated for.

  Has plenty of interior space and storage. More than enough cup holders and storage areas especially under the back seat!

  Great gas mileage! The 2.0 eco boost is getting me 31 mpg on the highway and I drive regularly!

  Only complaint I have is sound system. It isn’t bad at all though. Wish I’d have gotten the Lariat sound system installed.

  I average over 40mpg and 500 miles per tank. My Subaru didn't achieve that and my Silverado definitely doesn't.

  For being 191hp this hybrid is not lacking in power or responsiveness.

  It's basically a car with a small truck bed; it's a FWD. The ride is smooth and quiet. It's a truck when I need it but a car the rest of the time.

  I'm not a huge fan of the front end and kind of wish the daytime running lights were amber. I've considered getting a Raptor style grille for the Maverick.

  Only true draw-back is it's not a 4-wheel drive.

  The mild hybrid drivetrain gets great fuel economy for a pickup truck. I would prefer if it was a full EV or a plug-in hybrid, but it's still a huge boon to be so efficient with gas.

  Even new, a Maverick is a great low cost pickup truck.

• Styling

  Modern and subdued. It's cheap feeling but doesn't feel bad, it just feels appropriate. It's also the perfect size for someone who needs a pickup occasionally but doesn't need a giant pickup they can't take everywhere easily.

  The bed is short lengthwise, even more so than the small pickups of a decade or two ago. It's certainly useable but might be inadequate if you require a large bed.

  The hybrid drivetrain is a bit weak and not ideal for towing.
