Pros

• Interior Space

  The cabin is roomy, and the main seating is comfortable. There is ample storage in glove box, center counsel, and in door panels.

• Technology and Entertainment

  I like the back up camera, and integrated blue tooth with my phone, navigation, and play list. Most of which I can operate through steering wheel controls. It also has usb charging ports onboard for my electronics.

• Reliability

  So far other than routine maintenance like oil changes, and new window wipers, has been super reliable.

Cons

• Ride and Handling

  I would say the turning on this truck is good, but the ride is rough. On a smooth straight away the ride is good, but over uneven surfaces, and pot holes you get jerked around a lot. The truck does not have the comfortable suspension that other trucks in its class might have. Also the seating in extended cab is not very comfortable for anyone who sits back there. For my purposes I use to stow excess cargo, but on rare occasion I do have someone sitting back there it is an uncomfortable ride. It seems like they cheaped out on making it comfortable, especially if you are going to advertise it has seating for four.

• Interior Space

  On my vehicle the AC works exceptionally well, but it pulls out a lot of moisture from the circulated air. This was causing a musty mildew smell in the cab. I replaced the interior cab filter, and it was pretty moldy. After replacing the filter the smell went away. The filter has been in for less than four months and is beginning to smell again. The filter get a bit expensive to replace every three to four months. The cost of my replace filter was about thirty dollars. Every car I have previously owned had AC, but never had this problem.

• Technology and Entertainment

  Been having this electronic ticking noise that will come on every once in a while as I'm driving. It has been hard to determine what it is because it does not happen all the time. I have spoken with service technician but they say it would be hard to diagnose unless it was doing it while they were evaluating it. Don't know if this is an isolated issue with my vehicle, or known problem.

Pros

  Averaged 26.5 MPG with the V6 and 8 speed tranny on a 2200 mile trip with one person and 250 lbs. payload

• Styling

  What else can I say. I love the way it looks when it all detailed especially the front grille. Styling was a big reason although not THE biggest I chose the Canyon.

• Weather Versatility

  I have 4WD and so far have only used it for a for a few miles on snow packed and slushy roads in 4WD auto mode. I felt totally in control the whole time.

  I'd rate driver's seat comfort only a 3. Wife agrees seat comfort leaves something to be desired. I think a drivers side footrest for the left foot would help. For some reason it feels like the drivers side seat is not "square" to the steering wheel, like it's turned a little counter clockwise or something. It only becomes apparent after long driving periods, not your around town trips.
