Great handling, Reliable, Roomy interior 2016 Honda Fit

Pros

  • Ride and Handling

First time Honda owner. purchased new. my first miles I drove home it felt stiff and sluggish. After a few hundred miles I started to get a feel for the handling and suspension. The 1.5 L 4cyl 145 HP engine is quite peppy. I took at around some corners in a safe area to test it’s limits (for my driving style. I’m a safe, speed limit, capable driver) and was blown away by the grip through medium speed corners. the cars weight is well distributed giving you extremely capable braking in any condition. expectedly slow off the line, but once you get above 30-40 mph it feels like a sports car model. It sticks to the road and gives you the confidence to keep up in busy, fast highway traffic. Keep the tires healthy and the car maintenance done regularly and you’ll have a fun daily driver with room for 4 more passengers…

  • Interior Space

It really blows you away looking at such a compact smaller size car then getting into it and seeing so much interior space. A spare tire hides under a compartment in the back under the hatchback. plenty of space for luggage or daily chores like house repair items and groceries. I actually used it when I moved to my current house a few years back. all the seats fold down completely flat giving you room to move different size furniture to a large (65"+) TV. I have fit too much to mention. it has cabin space than I ever imagined.

  • Value

I’m not going to spend to much time on its value. I paid 17,500 for it new. there were used cars with half the features at the time. last I checked, it still has held its value. it’s a Honda. you expect it to last long and hold its value if taken care of. A+ on the value, it doesn’t get much better for the cost.

Cons

  • Seat Comfort

the Seats are designed for folding down to fit the large interior space design. Safety (rigid feel and airbag placement) also adds a little to it not feeling like a luxury car seat. I personally feel the seats are acceptable (4/5 stars) but certainly understand the concerns some have about comfort. the only other con that isn’t even worth starting a new tab is the (expected) small battery. It died on me at 5 years, probably coulda lasted 7, so just keep an eye on it when you do maintenance.

Love this car! 2016 Honda Fit

Pros

  • Interior Space

Everything is right there, within arms length.

  • Dashboard

It shows your current mpg and glows green when driving fuel economically changing to blue, when not driving economically.

  • Styling

I love the size and shape of the Fit. The back has lots of cargo space, and I still have a comfortable back seat and 4 doors!

Cons

  • Visibility

The back seat and front seat headrests get in the way of a clear, over-the-shoulder look.

Came with jinx 2016 Honda Fit

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

      Getting between 39-45 MPG

    • Cargo Space

      It's a Fit--everything fits

    • Dashboard

      I enjoy the backup cameras

    Cons

    • Seat Comfort

Driver's seat is hard to get a good angle. Has caused some back pain already

    • Power

Transmission is flimsy-feeling on hills, even in S mode

    • Reliability

Probably coincidence, but have already had busted windshield from rock on highway and flat tire that left me stranded. My last 6 Hondas went between 145-250,000 each and never left me stranded, although 2 were stolen. This one just feels flimsier and less well-thought-out than past Hondas.

    Fun drive! 2016 Honda FIT

    Cons

It has a tiny battery, leave your lights on and it's dead for sure.
