Value
This is no trim option for the Kona N FYI. The performance you get with the price is the best I’ve seen. It’s not the fastest but it is the most fun car I’ve driven that is not $60000.
Fuel Economy
I average 22 mpg with spirited driving and 30 mpg with long distance driving.
Ride and Handling
This can be a con but it is a stiff car but I like it because I feel the road a lot more. The DCT transmission has super fast shifts that makes everyday commute a joy. Also, the drive modes are great. When the car is in normal mode, it feels like a small Ford Edge with a better power curve (The Ford Edge as good power but the transmission feels holds back the performance and there is a huge drop off in power at the top of the RPMs.) I usually switch to custom 1 and drive around manually shifting gears. My custom 1 is N mode but with the suspension to its lowest setting. The last point is the ride height is perfect, in Mustangs and Challengers, you scrape on speed bumps and angled driveways. I never had this problem with the Kona N.
Interior Space
It’s a small car. I can fit my family in the car but it’s not like my Pilot Trailsport.
Cabin Noise
It is loud on bad roads. a lot of road noise if the road is not perfectly paved.
Ride and Handling
It has a DCT transmission so it not as refined as normal automatic transmission. During stop and go situations, the car pulls you forward more aggressively. Also you will feel the downshifts at lower speeds.
Reliability
it’s reliable with all the bells and whistles except for inside, no privacy interior.
Cargo Space
see above
Cabin Noise
quiet inside
Cargo Space
no privacy at all and car way too small. if I had of realized the above I wouldn’t have bought it,
Interior Space
see above response
Ride and Handling
handles well and smooth ride
Technology and Entertainment
This car has all the safety features (backup camera, lane keeping assist, head up display, adaptive cruise control) that I wanted, as well as a great sound system with Sirius XM, and Apple Car Play.
Styling
Leather interior with piping the same color as the exterior of the car, heated seats, and a moonroof.
Fuel Economy
Just took it on a road trip this past weekend, and it averaged between 33-35 mpg.
Cargo Space
The trunk/hatch space is pretty small; with the cargo cover in place, could barely fit two carryon sized suitcases.
Interior Space
Leg room for backseat passengers is limited.
Cabin Noise
Quite a bit of road noise when on the freeway.

Ride and Handling
I love how the Hyundai rides and handles on both long/short drives. It does well on wet roads. It also has Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear View Monitor.
Fuel Economy
I've been shocked by the total miles I receive on a full tank with both local and long distance driving.
Dashboard
The dashboard is well laid out and very easy to read. So is the touchscreen display. The cargo space is very roomy, especially for taller persons.
Braking
Although the braking system is very good the current pads squeal sometimes which is annoying. I'll probably replace them for a quieter braking experience.
Technology and Entertainment
The drivers window automatically goes down but not up.
Dashboard
It would be nice to have a CD player as standard to every Model. Everyone is not into modern technology of using cell phones or other external options for music.
Fuel Economy
Getting in mid-30's on highway and in town high 20's +
Cargo Space
good area but with back seats lower you can handle a large amount.
Power
I have 1.6L Turbo . Pick up Power from stop is good and handling in city and on highway has been good.
Interior Space
It's smaller than my former SUV ( Santa Fe Sport) but still space enough and I'm NOT a small guy
Cabin Noise
A little more interior road noise than my Santa Fe Sport but still very acceptable level.
Cost to Maintain
I have not had car long enough to make a reasonable comment in this area.
Styling
Looks like a tiny sportscar...love the design. Dashboard is so functional and easy to understand.
Cargo Space
When you put down the backseats, this car has relatively flat lining (unlike other cars where the plastic on the walls jut out)
Visibility
Easy to see, relatively spacious, and lane assist/blind spot assist
Reliability
Many other Kona owners have issues with their batteries or their engines. I do not... yet... but it is a serious hazard to consider.
Dashboard
Not the most "techy" but if the newest tech doesn't matter to you, it does the job!
Ride and Handling
looks great and sporty. rides smooth with a lot of power
