An Excellent All-Purpose Vehicle 2021 Jeep Renegade

Pros

  • Ride and Handling

With the 4x4 package, you get a slightly higher ride than the FWD Renegade and it provides great all-around visibility as well as a smooth, comfortable ride.

  • Power

The Renegade has more than enough power for its size. The engine will quickly get you up to speed and will accelerate effortlessly. Driving in Manual mode, you can drop a gear and pass with ease on the highway.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy

While the Renegade has pretty good fuel economy, it has its drawbacks. it seems to do well on the back county roads where I live and loves to cruise in the 55-60mph range and gets excellent fuel economy. However, taking road trips in it, cruises on Interstates at 75+ mph, I've watch the Renegade struggle to maintain ~20mpg. Plan stops accordingly, especially if you're traveling long distances at Interstate speeds.
