• Fuel Economy

  it’s a very smooth drive car, save gas, and great comfort (seats) I drive a lot and outside the city, so I love that it’s comfortable and saves gas.

• Ride and Handling

  I tend to drive fast, very fast, on the open road. In Maine, I sped through the mountains without downshifting, and this vehicle hugged the road, unlike any car I've ever owned. She will move!

• Cost to Maintain

  I have had the vehicle for just under two years. Besides regular maintenance, oil and air filter changes, new brakes and tyres, and a battery, I have had no mechanical problems—it has never left me stranded.

• Weather Versatility

  The Sportage maintains traction in rain and snow. Very reliable.

• Fuel Economy

  I do drive fast, so I expect to burn fuel. But if I drive at a reasonable speed, the vehicle is economical, and with the high prices of gas, the Sportage is a gas saver.

• Cabin Noise

  I could always hear outside noise like a door or window was ajar.

• Reliability

  Kia didn't include anti-theft for several years; mine was one. The first attempt to steal my vehicle resulted in a broken window and my console torn apart. Another few minutes and my car would have disappeared. Kia paid to have an anti-theft computer upgrade. It didn't work, and I don't think the person who stole my vehicle took the time to read the little sticker in the dark. Again, no alarm sounded. My Sportage is now listed as a total loss, and I'm looking for another vehicle--yes, a Kia Sportage. An aftermarket alarm system will be added immediately, and shrinkwrap will be applied nightly.

  Cranks right up, haven't had it long enough and it should be reliable.
