Most bang for the buck! 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Pros

  • Fuel Economy

35 MPG in a car that's so much fun to drive!

  • Ride and Handling

Even completely stock, this car handles like a dream!

  • Reliability

This is my third Mazda sports car. From old to new, Mazda knows how to build a reliable sports car.

Cons

  • Cargo Space

This is a small car so don't plan on hauling much in it.

  • Cabin Noise

There is quite a bit of wind noise with the top up and some turbulence with it down.

  • Interior Space

I'm 6' and fit OK, It probably would not work for someone much taller.

Not for everyone 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Pros

  • Fuel Economy

In daily driving, expect to get at least 30mpg, even when you drive it hard.

  • Reliability

The MX-5 is one of the most reliable cars on the road.

  • Value

As a truly fun car, the Miata is hard to beat. It’s not a bruiser, and the low cost of ownership make it more attractive than most sports cars.

Cons

  • Cargo Space

The cargo space is limited, to say the least. Door pockets? Nope. Glove box? Ha! If you’re a pack rat, this is not the car for you.

  • Cabin Noise

Even with the retractable hard top, this is not a quiet car. Long trips can be tiresome as highway driving really ramps up the noise level.

  • Weather Versatility

A convertible with low ground clearance and rear drive? Yeah, this wasn’t built for snowy winters.

cute 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Pros

  • Styling

I have the hardtop convertible. It looks great open or shut. Just a cute car overall.

  • Fuel Economy

Gets good gas mileage. And with gas prices today that’s helps the pocketbook.

  • Power

This car has get up and go.

Cons

  • Cabin Noise

It’s a bit noisy but the fun outweighs the noise issue.

  • Cargo Space

The small trunk makes extended trips difficult. That’s why the car had such low mileage when we bought it.

  • Interior Space

I’m only 5’3” so I fit fine. Husband is 6’ and it’s a bit tight for him.
