Value
We already owned a Forester, so we were familiar with Subaru. I purchased Crosstrek for commuting. It has been reliable, easy to drive, and economical.
Ride and Handling
Can handle like a dream on curvy road
Value
Pretty easy modern manual car
Fuel Economy
30 to 37 with my type of respectable driving.
Power
Less than 200 ponies
Technology and Entertainment
Usb data hookup is fragile
Ride and Handling
It's a comfortable and smooth ride. Great turning radius.
Interior Space
Both the front passengers and the backseat passengers have plenty of room.
Weather Versatility
This is so important in Colorado. So far it's handled well in every weather condition I've encountered.
Cargo Space
I wish I had more space. But this is a choice - if I truly wanted/needed more space, I could have bought a larger vehicle.
Dashboard
I hit some button and have something on the display that I don't necessarily want to see all the time. It's a bit too complex to deal with all of the settings sometimes.
Seat Comfort
My husband definitely doesn't find the front passenger seat at all comfortable. I'm okay in it, but it could be a bit more comfy.
Weather Versatility
Rain, ice, snow, gravel… doesn’t matter. nothing seems to faze this car. it’s a tank.
Technology and Entertainment
The upgraded sound system (HK I think) sounds fantastic. Apple Car Play and Sirius XM capabilities are a big plus. The Sat radio antenna always provides a clear signal. I’ve had several BMWs before and the signal was always unreliable. The Eye Sight system is far superior to other automated cruise control systems I’ve had in other cars.
Fuel Economy
30+ mpg on the highway as long as you don’t mash the accelerator constantly.
Cabin Noise
A bit more road noise than cars I’ve had in the past but that is to be expected on an AWD vehicle with grippy tires.
Value
Great value for the money.
Power
The Crosstrek has adequate power but could use a little more.
Fuel Economy
good mpg
Reliability
Seat Comfort
needs electric seats
Reliability
Well made and don’t rust. They go on for ever
Ride and Handling
Weather Versatility
Cargo Space
It is smaller than I would like but I knew that when I bought it. I now have kid seats for my grands in the back so I cannot fold seat down to get the full size
Cost to Maintain
Very easy to maintain
Power
It only has 152 horsepower but it gets up to speed and will move when necessary.
