I find the speed is ample to the traffic that I am used to, whoever has stated that it needs more speed must be an idiot because it has plenty, if I decided to buy another car I would buy a Forester
Value
all around it rides well, handles good, & gets decent mileage
Ride and Handling
the only thing I found wrong with this top of the line is the rear view mirror should have been automatic NOT MANUEL !
Interior Space
nothing except for what I already stated about the mirror
Reliability
I bought this car because of its’ safety features and its AWD. I have epilepsy and although my seizures are controlled now, I feel safer in a car that won’t let me accidentally rear end someone (it slams on the breaks,) has steering help (on long drives. not so much on winding roads) and is rated one of the safest cars out there. I don’t want to hurt anyone and I don’t want to get hurt. PLUS: the AWD is the BOMB. I can drive up mountains with terrifying inclines, and drive on the beach sand and not get stuck.
Ride and Handling
the turning radius is tight, it responds well when I need to get out of the way of a semi, and when I need to speed up quick, it zooms!
Cargo Space
I LOVE that you can fold the seats down or just one seat down and fit an entire 3 piece rock band’s equipment in my car. that’s 3 amps, 3 guitars, Mike stands, boxes of cables and pedalboards. And then, there’s even enough seating for 3 people to ride safely with seatbelts, ac, drink holders etc.
Technology and Entertainment
the stereo doesn’t go that loud and I can’t find any options to adjust eq. boo.
Braking
sometimes if I get too close to a bush when I’m backing out of my driveway it slams on the breaks and makes this big noise. BUT even this isn’t really a CON because this car has saved me from bumping into a lot of things. it’s the safest car I could find.
Fuel Economy
reliable, comfortable, relatively quiet
Cabin Noise
Ride and Handling
Visibility
sometimes it is difficult to understand all the features and controls
Cargo Space
Plenty of room for luggage, purchases, or anything else we need to carry. No need to use passenger seats for that
Dashboard
Lots of bells and whistles to which we are unaccustomed since our previous car was 6 years older than this. Mostly icons, etc. are fairly easy to interact with and interpret. Within easy reach
Fuel Economy
Our previous vehicle, a Honda Civic, gave us 35 miles per gallon even with intown driving ,so we espected this larger vehicle would use more gas, but during the time we have used it, the mileage keeps improving--almost up to 30 mpg now.
Dashboard
It's not that I don't like it. It's just that some of it I don't yet understand and it's taking me some time to come up to speed to take advantage of all the options available
