    save a ton vs gas

  • Cost to Maintain

    very inexpensive to maintain.

  • Ride and Handling

    pleasure driving.

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment

The 2018 technology is good, but it’s gotten a lot better much faster. I feel left behind.

Very expensive fuel saver 2018 Tesla Model S

Pros

  • Power

The quickest production car for the time frame, now it goes to the Tesla Model S Plaid

Cons

  • Value

Car is expensive, Charging anywhere other than home is expensive, Insurance is expensive, Tires are expensive

TESLA - BEST CAR EVER 2018 Tesla Model S

Pros

  • Ride and Handling

Sexy, sleek, handles like my BMW, fast exceleration, just awesome.

  • Cabin Noise

    QUIET, NICE AND quiet...

  • Braking

Love that when you let off the gas, it automatically slows down, you barely have to use the brakes. It also has autohold , which I love.

Cons

so far, impressed 2018 Tesla Model S

    Pros

    • Fuel Economy

drives great. very quick in traffic

    • Power

      quick

    • Ride and Handling

      handles like a sports car

    Cons

    • Cabin Noise

ride is a little bumpy and noisy compared to an LS500

    • Interior Space

      a bit tight

    • Cargo Space

      not much room inside

A little quirky, but still AWESOME. 2018 Tesla Model S

    Pros

    • Cargo Space

The trunk, the ‘frunk’ and option for roof storage, along with the towing capability, make cargo space unmatched for a car.

    • Cost to Maintain

Tesla service comes to you and most basic services needs are covered. Your maintenance will primarily be for tires, brakes & AC service. No oil changes, no fuel injectors, and all the other moving parts and lubrication needs of gas/diesel engines are non-existent. It’s amazing.

    • Power

Immediate power. I experienced car sickness my first month with the Tesla & I worried making the purchase was a mistake. A little research found this was common for new owners. Once you learn to manage the power that comes with the accelerator, and the minimal need for brakes due to the regenerative breaking, the “jerkiness” fades & driving is beyond fun.

    Cons

    • Interior Space

The earlier models, like the 2018, was still a computer turned into a car with less focus on simple interior conveniences that most car makers have long perfected, such as cup holder locations and storage. Cup holders are in odd, inconvenient places and there is no storage in the doors or behind the seats. Later models addressed these overlooks .

    • Cabin Noise

We’ve had to have Tesla address window seals due to wind noise and even stop leaks during car washes. However, this was done at no cost to us and Tesla service conveniently comes to you.

    • Weather Versatility

Cold weather does negatively impact battery life.

    Don't buy a Tesla 2018 Tesla Model S

    Pros

    • Technology and Entertainment

Big price for tech. phantom breaking is a real thing. car itself is garbage. good range and good acceleration but many other companies are catching up. Price cut is only way Tesla can stay competitive with their poorly built cars and ridiculously horrible customer service.

    Cons

    • Cost to Maintain

350 per hour for labor for any service. 180 to just diagnose anything wrong with the car.

    • Interior Space

2018 S doesn't have any door storage, back seat pockets, no way to mount a cellphone for rear passenger (my kid).... so far behind on convenience features other car makers have offered for decades.

    • Value

for the money, it's just extremely underwhelming. I regret my purchase. I should have gone with bmw or mbz. chose Tesla for cool minimalist design and the electric range, but I feel like a dumbA$$ now.
