Reliability
Perfect commuter car I’ve had no issues
Fuel Economy
Ive saved on gas since my last car, a 2005 Camry
Fuel Economy
My older car would hit 32mpg on a road trip-commuting to/from work maybe 18mpg. This little stinker hits 32 on my commute and on a bit longer drive has actually got up to 38mpg. I'm spending less at the pump compared to before which is a great deal in my book.
Ride and Handling
Very sporty with nice suspension and is fast! I've yet to use the paddle shifters on it but on my next road trip, I'll give them a shot!
Reliability
I did some research on this car and another I was interested in. This helped me choose. This car has no known recalls and no major reports of issues, whereas the other vehicle I looked at was a couple years newer and already has 2 recalls and some major issues reported. My previous car easily had a half-dozen recalls and other major issues that caused the warranty to be extended (but not for the life of the vehicle). I trust the reliability of this car.
Cargo Space
This is the smallest car I've owned and the cargo space is quite small. It's really the only downside of the car for me but I'm also learning to just work with it and may get a rack/storage on top of the car to help.
Seat Comfort
I saw this model of Corolla at an auto show and sat in it and I thought it had the most comfortable seats in any car other than top luxury vehicles.
Reliability
Although this is one of Toyota’s newer engines, Toyota’s track record makes me sleep easy at night knowing they have previously made the kings of reliable cars.
Styling
In my opinion, this is the best looking hatchbacks on the market at the moment. I wasn’t a huge fan of hatchbacks until I saw this car.
Power
Although this car does have some power when you need it, it is certainly not what I’d consider a fast car.
Interior Space
With bigger people (6’ 200lbs) comfortably in the front seat, it tends to heavily reduce legroom in the back seat. This can be managed by moving the seats up and increasing leg room, however it’s a bit annoying for driver and passenger. If you’re traveling with 3+ people often, consider a different vehicle.
Cabin Noise
You will hear some engine noise from the car, it is not supposed to be a luxury car but the level is adequate.

Has all the options I like. 40 miles to the gallon combined. 42 plus on the highway.

Fuel Economy
I have found it gets 29 MPG around the city, and 40 MPG on the highway.
Ride and Handling
It is very quick to accelerate for a 2.0L NA engine, and feels very light and responsive in corners. The inside fits me and other tall people very well!
Styling
Interior and exterior styling is amazing! I feel the Blue Flame is the best color of all the options, and it stands out on the road, making it feel like the coolest Corolla on the road! the interior is also really nice, not too much extra curves and random stuff, but also not too basic to make you feel like its a cheap dashboard. Very impressive placement of buttons and screen, vents, and the instrument cluster is a really nice setup.
Cabin Noise
It is quite loud when you are at speed, meaning you have to turn the radio up 6-8 notches above what it is at low speeds. Also makes it harder to hear your passengers in the back.
Cargo Space
I was impressed with the cargo space, but I still feel it could be a little bigger. the back seats fold down, but are quite tall compared to the trunk, which with the spare tire is quite tall. when you take out the spare tire, the new trunk area feels very unfinished and doesnt match what the factory "remove spare" option has.
Technology and Entertainment
Everything with technology and entertainment is ok minus a couple things: the seatbelt unbuckled indicator is the most loud and annoying one I have ever heard. it feels like a fire alarm going off, and seems way too excessive. the rear also seems to get confused with 2 people in the back, thinking the 3rd middle seat should also be buckled even when no one is there. Also, cruise control, and follow distance reset every single time you turn the car off, and it gets annoying to have to reset that every time.
Braking
Stops on a dime but I have not had much weight in the car.
Cost to Maintain
Main reason for buying this car. A new clutch is only 60$ from the dealer. Can't beat that.
Seat Comfort
Did 10 hours of driving in one day and had no pain or discomfort by the end. Very comfy leather seats.
Cabin Noise
Very loud on highway. At least when you turn the radio up it sounds good and drowns out most of it.
Visibility
All the pillars are super wide. Gotta do the ol' lean back and forth to see around them.
