Technology and Entertainment
The tech in this vehicle is incredible, seen and unseen!
Ride and Handling
This vehicle is a breeze to drive short and long distances. And comfortable as a guy 6’5”/ 230.
Fuel Economy
…..of course…
Power
Let’s be honest though, you don’t buy a Prius for its power.
Fuel Economy
Value
Dashboard
Fuel Economy
52 MPG on gas only, or 117 MPG with a combo of gas and electric. What’s not to like?
Technology and Entertainment
CarPlay is super nice to have
Ride and Handling
Handling is nice. It’s handles well around corners and it’s a comfortable ride.
Technology and Entertainment
Limited JBL stereo option sound is not great — it’s “OKAY”, but not the awesome sound one would expect with the “JBL” name.
Visibility
Visibility out the back takes some getting used to.
Interior Space
Interior space in the back is a little less than a non-Prime due to the battery, but it’s workable with the seats down.
Cargo Space
As well as trunk space the back seats tip forward and make a secondary cargo area. Very useful.
Visibility
I am very short and the visibility in the Prius is great for me.
Fuel Economy
At present getting 56 mpg so keeps me away from the fuel pumps too often.
Dashboard
Too many buttons for a computer ignoramus like me. However, I do like the heating and AC switches, very easy to use.
Power
Would like a bit more "oomph" in it but otherwise very satisfied with its handling.
Fuel Economy
It's excellent, especially with gas at $4.75 a gallon.
Cargo Space
I don't mind it but due to the bigger battery there is less space.
Fuel Economy
Even though the "all electric" portion is only 25 miles, that covers most of my driving. I am averaging 160 mpg with the plug in hybrid, and with my 2013 Prius I was getting 45-50 mpg
Seat Comfort
Comfortable seats
Cargo Space
The battery for the plug in portion takes up a lot of space in back so MUCH less cargo space in back - to tight even to have a grocery bag standing upright. My 2013 Prius had much more space in the hatchback area as well as a storage tray underneath that and a spare tire below that
Technology and Entertainment
The car was advertised as having Android Auto capability, which was very important to me. After I bought the car I could not connect it, and the Toyota service people informed me that for 2021 models, it depends on the VIN - some have Android Auto and some do not. Mine does not, and there is no way to upgrade it. The Toyota navigation system is horrible, no improvement from the one in my 2013 Prius.
Reliability
No Spare Tire! I hate this and do not feel safe with just an emergency patch kit. Very inconvenient! I pay for AAA and they will come and put the spare tire on if you have a flat, but not if there's no spare in the car!
Fuel Economy
it's awesome - truly amazing how good it is.
Cabin Noise
very quiet confirmed by phone conversations , a lot quieter than my plug-in was
Reliability
it's on it. great car
Cargo Space
don't put more than one suitcase back there... grocery shopping can be tight
Seat Comfort
I can feel a bar under my legs... felt it in my plug in too. otherwise it's fine
