Well rounded daily driver, a "Jack of all trades".

This 535GT has proven itself to be the ideal car for my wife and me. Their aren't many of these in the states, but if you are looking at mid-size crossovers and suv markets you should look one of these up. it's basically a 7-series without the bleeding edge tech (and prices to match!) but with the added practicality of a hatchback rear door and a higher seat height for comfort and forward visibility. Decent mileage as well.

Another great BMW

The new looks and the new I Drive are definitely better than the previous model. The M Sport package is definitely worth the money. The one thing I will say is that this new turbo in the 535 is much less torque oriented than BMW's are famous for. It still gets up and goes, but is much more smooth rather than forceful - which is what we've all grown to love about BMW. As my wife puts it "it doesn't throw your head back the way [my] X5 V8 does, but it definitely moves". The I Drive is much improved, but still not all it should be. They need to keep trying to steal from Audi on that one.

Not your E28 or E39

The handling is just not what it should be. I am a tried and true 5 series owner and love the balance that used to be there. It just seems too big and lacks the legendary handling, even with the sports package and a manual transmission. The 2011 has very strange placements of interior items - this did change for the better later on. Don't get me wrong - this has incredible power and ease of use. It is just not the great drive it used to be. Get a 428 or a 435 Gran Coupe instead.
