The car is sleek and fun to drive and is getting about 25mpg, which I think is pretty good. I like the features in the car and it has been a pleasure to own.
I do currently have it in for warranty work and I guess they found a transmission leak as well as an oil leak, which is unnerving at 22k miles, but they are covering it all and gave me a new X5 as a loaner while they fix it... so I would say just be sure to get the extended warranty.
2008 BMW 535RDS - Houston08/05/2012
After changing jobs where I had a 2009 Mercedes company car, I bought a 350z for fun. I drive over an hour to work each way and as much as the Z was fast and fun it was not comfortable.
One of my coworkers had a 528i and I really liked it but I have a 328i that never excited me.
I was looking at MB E series and Lexus instead. After getting a great trade in I was wandering the CarMax lot and stumbled upon a a black 535i with medium brown leather interior. This car is absolutely beautiful and drives like a dream. The twin turbo with the 3.0L six is smooth and powerful. It looks classy and has more toys than Santa.
It cruises at 80 mph like standing still. This big car is giving me 22.1 mpg in mixed conditions, only 1 mpg less than the tiny 350z.
