If you can accept glitchy electronics, this 4 door sedan goes from overly capable executive mile muncher to a 500HP highway missile at the touch of the "M" button. If the M3 is the over achieving, aggressive middle manager, think of the M5 as the CTO who understands risk management yet has a plethora of patents.

If you are looking for a Family Sedan with the heart of a F1 machine this is the car! It is 100% performance and then gives you enough room to take the family to dinner.
I'm on my second M5 both from CarMax and these are great cars with amazing performance and handling.
The only Cons:
1 They are very complex and expensive to repair - make sure you get the BMW warranty (if the car still has it) and BUY the extended warranty from CarMax - I generally don't buy these warranties but this car is the exception! Very small things can quickly add up.
2 Uses exotic engine oil so oil changes are about $150-200

I love my "new to me" BMW M5 E60. The sales representative and staff were very accommodating. This car has all the options and features expected of an M series. No issues with the vehicle at this point. It's very fun to drive and commands attention. Thank you CARMAX !! You are great.
