Generation Overview

The 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV built to tackle epic family excursions while taking care of all your daily errands running around town. It is part of the third generation of this model, which ended with the model year 2014. Rear-wheel or full-time four-wheel drive provides the foundation for the standard 5.3L V8 engine that produces 320 hp and is paired with the six-speed automatic transmission. A Hybrid version includes a Vortec 6.0L V8 engine and electric motor that extends fuel economy up to an EPA-estimated 23 mpg highway on the 2WD or 4WD models.2 The standard seating configuration features two rear rows of split benches and a pair of bucket seats in the front accommodating up to eight.

Three trim levels are available on the gas engine with the hybrid standing alone as its own trim. The LS kicks things off with tri-zone manual climate controls, a roof rack, Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling, and power heated side mirrors. A greater variety of comfort and conveniences are featured on the LT including available remote start, power-adjustable pedals, leather-trimmed heated front seats, and a Bose® nine-speaker sound system.3 Look for luxury upgrades on the LTZ such as heated and ventilated front seats, a power liftgate, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and blind zone alert. Satellite navigation requires activation and is displayed on the touchscreen system. The Hybrid uses the LT trim level for comforts but also includes the SiriusXM® satellite radio with navigation capability.4

car was in the shop for over 4 months

Horrible experience with this dealership. I had a list to submit for repairs before I was satisfied with the vehicle. The car was in the shop at the dealership and 2 other places over 4 months before I could I drive it and enjoy it.

  • Interior Space: The suv is fully loaded like I wanted, the color I was looking for and low mileage. new tires

  • Dashboard: Dashboard was cracked, hatch would not close with the power button, cut in the seat, light bulbs out, phone charging outlets did not work, mirror would not fold in, heated steering wheel did not work…. dealership did not do checks like they advertise…this vehicle was not for sales inventory.

Excellent condition & Awesome Service

This SUV fits every category of what I was looking for, with the key one being spacious! The car runs great and in that first 30 days, getting the minor issues taken care of was simple and easy. I flew from LA to get this vehicle and the drive back was worth the trip. The Salesman had it ready to go and the paperwork was seemless.

  • Interior Space: It’s spacious inside.
  • Ride and Handling: Suv rides very smoothly and has some power to it.
  • Reliability: The way this car runs, its gonna last for awhile

When Interior Space and Comfort are Paramount

When you think full size SUV's, you don't realize how much smaller the latest generation are until you set them side by side. Going years since our last Tahoe, we immediately noticed how narrow the 2015 Tahoe was. We then scrambled to find a low mileage pre-2015 model. A 2014 is seven inches wider than a 2015, yet mpg is essentially identical...

  • Interior Space: Much better than new models
  • Seat Comfort: Seats are wider than new models
  • Cargo Space: Much better than new models

  • Technology and Entertainment: Pretty Basic.
  • Power: Adequate is about all I'd say
