This car has pretty decent gas mileage (about 23 - 25 MPG), which is only a little less I was getting with my previous vehicle (2004 Dodge Neon, 212,000 miles). Difference is that when I step on the gas something actually happens. The better pickup took a little getting used to, but is great in Interstate traffic when you need it.

This car isn't really reliable. I am at 83k miles, and I'm running into all sorts of issues. Broken shifter cable, alternator problems, air conditioner has a musty smell, and now the tranny/engine are having some serious issues. I really don't care about anything in a car except reliability so I would NOT recommend this vehicle.
sporty, comfortable and great car for the price!
2013 Dodge AvengerRay - Reno, NV02/22/2015
The Avenger I purchased has an upgraded V6 engine and offers lots of power and speed when desired.
I've just traveled in the car for the first time and it was very good on gas. Three kids in the back seat did not complain about being uncomfortable. The body style offers a more sporty look than many sedans I've researched and gives me the desire to maybe even purchase a dodge challenger in the future.
I'm not a fan of the black interior only because it shows every single little scratch and marking.
The Dodge Avenger made a big splash when it jumped into the large pool of mid-sized American sedans more than 20 years ago. Its classic styling, high-tech features, and affordable price made the Avenger an outstanding contender in the front-wheel-drive market. Right until its last model year (2014), sophisticated facelifts and revisions made sure the Avenger has held onto its position as a popular choice from Dodge for daily drivers and performance enthusiasts alike.
