This car is hilarious fun. It has the best brakes of any car I have ever driven and has incredible grip. It may not drift like a rwd sports car, but it rotates nicely on corner entry and is very neutral through turns. It is definitely the best handling front wheel drive car sold in the US and one of the best handling cars regardless. More importantly, it does all of that while gettin 30 mpg combined and you can actually fit stuff in it. The ride is firm and it gets a little bouncey on larger bumps, but that is the price you pay for 0.96g of lateral grip. The transmission is bolt-action slick, I find the seats very comfortable, and there is enough adjustment in the seats and steering wheel for most anyone to find the right driving position.

I had to have the transmission replaced within a year of purchase. Evidently, the transmission is a problem with this model. Fortunately, the car was under factory warranty and I've had to have several issues fixed. The transmission was replaced, the passenger door was replaced because it wouldn't close and is due to a recall. Ford currently does not have a replacement for the doors and simply replaces it with another faulty door that may eventually need replacing again. Water leaked through the trunk and filled the spare tire compartment with water. The only two pros about this car is the gas mileage and the fact that it silences any incoming text messages so that you're not distracted.
Terrible transmission, great visitility

I've only owned this car 4 months, but I've had it to the dealer three times for work on its transmission. I'm still hoping they will be able to straighten out the problem, but at least it's still under warranty. I bought it primarily because of its great visibility - the rear seat headrests even tilt down to create better view through the rear window.
