Bought the truck in late November. Drove it for three weeks and check engine light came on. Took it to a GMC dealer to have it checked out. Gas pedal sensor was bad and it also had a cylinder leaking down. Bad head on engine. GM replaced head for no charge. Said it had some problems with some of the 5 cylinder engines. After repair the truck runs much better and gets better mileage than before. Almost 21 mpg now compared to 17 mpg before. Very happy with truck now.

I bought my 07 canyon extended cab because I was looking for something to haul my harley on, little did I know that I would be driving it so much. The 2.9l 4 cylinder has enough power for the casual driver and is great on the highway. I've been getting 22-26 mpg and have plenty of room to lock up my goods while traveling. Its a tough little truck with big truck attitude.
