If you want an affordable manual (6 speed) transmission with a peppy V-6 engine in a two-door coupe, this may be the car for you. The EX-L line is generally pretty well built (though the 2012 has a bit more plastic than my previous 2004 EX-L V6 coupe) and the gas mileage is 3 mpg less (on long trips). But, it uses unleaded fuel, gets 30 mpg, handles well (though the larger wheels with the nitrogen fill make it a bit bouncy on choppy concrete roads such as I-95). The 2012 has a smaller rear window view (need the side mirrors) and the trunk is slightly smaller (and no cargo net). The fold down rear seat is much better than the 2004. The controls of the radio/media system are a bit backwards, but you can figure them out easily.
Best daily driver coupe

Great car. Awesome reliability and build workmanship. Very high quality feel. Integrity of the vehicle inside and out is top notch. Great styling. Wonderful v6 engine. A little behind in technology. Still has keyed ignition and only up to 5 speed on automatic. The variable cylinder management system can get quirky with quick changes in power output demands also. Overall this car is a fluid daily driver with style and confidence in performance. It's more like a companion than just a car!
I have owned VW Passats in the past, and considered them to be great mid size cars. When I decided to buy a new car, and started looking for a Passat. Since we own a Honda CRV, I thought I would check out Accords as well. What I found was, they are just as nice as the Passat's, more dependable, and look just as good inside and out. In addition, the cost of ownership is much less.
Every once in a while, a car manufacturer "nails it" with one of their vehicles. The Accord is certainly an example of that. Great performance and economy (a rare combination), along with comfort and a great look (inside and out).
The Honda Accord is simply a great choice.
I love this car.
