In a roll over accident of 70 yards down an embankment more than 10flips over boulders this car not only held up but I believe kept me alive.you should see the pictures of the place where I went off the road and the final condition of the car no one should have ever been able to survive a wreck like that but I not only survived but walked away with only a hurt shoulder from how violently I was tossed in the seat belt. No other marks on me the passenger compartment was completely intact. Where most other cars " I believe " would have folded like a lawn chair.

Pros

Safety: It saved my life in a 10 flip rollover
Ride and Handling: It has a very good stance and corners extremely well
Power: It has not only enough to get out of the way but enough to lead the pack

Cons

Weather Versatility: The elantra and I've had three doesn't do well in wet weather it's very scetchy at any kind of speed
Technology and Entertainment: The ones I had lower end electronics and not only left it lacking but sometimes hard to hear and to connect to
Value: In one year the value of the car droped $6000 and put me way upside-down on what I still owed

I got my car on March 7th two weeks after I got the car it started leaking some fluids and making some crazy noises whenever I would turn the AC on-so I took it back to CarMax and they kept my car for over a month and gave me a loaner to use. On June 21st my car once again started making a weird noise and the AC was blowing out HOT AIR and not working…I took my car back to CarMax and I received another loaner car from them!!! To put a long story short I have NOT had my car Six months yet and it has already been in the shop twice-I feel as though I was sold a lemon-bum car!!!

Pros

Visibility: The car is pretty on the outside and horrible on the inside. The engine and car does not match the beauty of the car!

I purchased this car to replace an older Cadillac because all newer Cadillacs I could find either only came with a V6 or had terrible transmission shifting characteristics (software) that jerked during acceleration and deceleration rather than slowly and smoothly spooling like the one to which I had been accustomed. I was surprised that this car was more like the old Cadillacs of yesterday than the Cadillacs of today, especially for a Korean knockoff of a Mercedes S500. For the price, this car knocks several pricier models out of the water with features and materials. The engine is relatively quiet, and while it's not fast off the line, it does highway passing pulls like a champ, even uphill. The comfort is great, and visibility and turning radius are both surprisingly good for a sedan of its size. The interior space is good, and the seats are comfortable. My very tall, very large, and even my relatively petite friends have all found ways to be comfortable in this vehicle, with plenty of headroom and highly adjustable seating. There are moments when it suddenly becomes obvious that certain materials or build quality items are wanting, but they're all minor. I would purchase this car again, though I recommend that anyone who purchases it gets the warranty.

Pros

Braking: Great stopping distance for a car this large and heavy, and the rotors are big enough that while you pay more, you're not eating brakes. Transmission also does a good job braking on its own in eco mode, though that's less apparent if you have low rolling resistance tires or are going downhill due to the massive weight.
Ride and Handling: Air suspension is excellent and holds up better than most, though not particularly good for bumpy concrete like you find in Texas where traditional springs do more. At lower speeds, very smooth.
Power: 400+ horsepower, need I say more?

Cons

Reliability: It's very finicky with fuel and will throw codes if your fuel has too much alcohol or is of low quality. The car is extremely heavy and so front and rear suspension components were replaced due to excessive wear beyond what you'd expect for the age of the vehicle. the sunroof failed. Struts on the hood and trunk failed. The engine burns oil at an insane rate, though that's fairly common for Hyundai and even a known issue having to do with the design and manufacturing process of the engine. The paint is excessively thin and chips and scratches at the lightest touch compared to American make cars, regardless of what their marketing tells you. The automated front lighting system bugs out often if you make sharp turns and simply stops working. You often get weird gremlins with the infotainment system necessitating a quick pull of a fuse. Occasionally the window controls simply become unresponsive, even without safety controls engaged. The rear HVAC is known to have issues with blend door failure and occasionally venting extremely hot air unless you manually shift it to hot and then cold again and jam it shut on that setting.
Cabin Noise: the aerodynamics of a brick cause more wind noise than you'd expect, and sound deadening is lacking, even compared to older cars from lesser makes.
Fuel Economy: The car guzzles gasoline like a pickup truck and burns oil like the devil. You'll need to stay on top of it in order to keep things running smoothly.
