2013 Hyundai ElantraJ S - Bakersfield, CA10/06/2015
The Hyundai Elantra checks all the boxes for a car in its class. Both the exterior and interior look great. Clearly there was intentional effort to increase the esthetics of this car! The interior is comparatively roomly, the handling is very responsive as well as the power being very sufficient. The trunk is also huge, my wife and still remark about its space.
1 year in, 75k miles, a great car
2010 Hyundai ElantraJohn Y - Santa Fe, NM05/18/2016
I've owned this car for one year now, and have had no major problems. I've put almost 20k miles on since I bought it. Routine oil changes and a transmission flush are basically all I've had to do, oh and new tires. I think I had to replace a couple belts recently too. Handles well enough in the snow with standard all-season tires. There isn't a lot of passenger room - two adults up front and a teenager in back is pretty crowded, but most of the time it's just me and the small children in car seats, and two car seats work okay. I definitely wouldn't want to try 3 though. I mostly use the car for commuting to work and it's great, good gas mileage (33 mpg average, mostly highway).
Great car, excellent mpg!
2014 Hyundai ElantraGargoyle Lopez - West Palm Beach, FL01/15/2016
I purchased the 6 speed version for travel 60 miles one way to work. As a long time large truck owner I was reluctant to buy a small car but I needed something better on gas for the commute. It's a nice ride. To my surprise I avg 40 mpg. Stereo is ok seats are ok for maybe up to 2-3 hours of driving and it's actually not a bad looking car for the price. I would buy another one thus far, when the time comes. The cab room is roomy for a sedan and the trunk is large as well.
Despite their smaller size, these compact cars pack lots of power and plenty of enjoyable features for drivers and passengers alike. Check out this list of our best ranked small and compact cars, based on CarMax sales data from January 1, 2018 through April 30, 2018.
