My G37 Coupe

I owned a 2005 G35 S Coupe and found it all I expected of a sports Car (with rear seats). This 2008 S coupe is that and more. I really like the Bluetooth and most of the time it works very well. On occasion it doesn't recognize that it is set up and in sync with my phone. This car carries about 40 more horses and you can tell it by the seat of your pants, although MotorTrend says the track times aren't much different. I have the "Sport" version but really don't know what difference that makes. I don't know if the following comment is a malfunction in the "VDC" or if it is supposed to react this way, but in spirited driving from a stop, and the wheels spin a little, the "VDC off" light comes on along with a "slip" light and sometimes a "brake" light illuminates in the dash. These lights do not go off until you turn off the engine and turn it back on. If that is normal, then I fail to understand why. Before spinning the tires, I can also manually turn off the "vnc" as you would think. Anyway, this is a very solid and competant vehicle and I expect to get a lot of miles out of it. BTW, it is red (like my 2005 G35). The only real dissapointment is that there are a lot of road rash and nicks in the paint and it only had 47,000 when I purchased it. My 2005 didn't have this many at 90,000 miles.

Driving with a smile

I'm not a sports car guru, before I bought the 2008 G37 Sport I drove a Mazda 626 sedan, but I love this car. It purrs and roars, it's elegant inside and sleek on the outside without being too flashy. I considered the BMW, Lexus, and Hyundai Genesis but the Infiniti just had more across the board than any of the competition. On the downside, my insurance quadrupled in cost and the maintenance fees can be shocking for those of us who were used to $15 oil changes. Anticipate $1,500 annually to keep this beast in top form in addition to the insurance hike.

Sports Luxury with Some Muscle

There's lots to like about the Infiniti G37 S coupe. Mine has the 6 speed manual which is really fun to drive. It is very comfortable and quiet on the highway, has a lot of power and makes just the right amount of exhaust note when you accelerate to merge or pass. The stereo is fantastic and includes a flash card reader so you don't have to mess with CD's. The seats are very comfortable, supportive and are very adjustable including the width of the bolsters. It's a great "driver's car" that won't beat you up when used as an everyday driver or on a long trip. Other great features are navigation, bluetooth phone connectivity, and a rear seat that folds down to expand the smallish trunk into a large cargo area.
