Transmission: Automatic Color:Red Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.923076923076923 reviews) I would actually recommend this car for someone who won't have people in the backseat very often. It is a small car and exactly what I was looking for (and more) for our second vehicle, but it would be too small for a family car unless everyone is under 5'5". My 6'2" honey can squeeze in fairly comfortably in the driver's seat, but only the dogs can fit in the seat behind him. It's perfect for zipping around the city and squeezing in small parking spots.

Reviews for 2011 Mazda

Overall Rating

4.5 out of 5 (136 reviews)

Great car, affordable to own and maintain!

Tye CX-9 Touring has all of the optionals that I was looking for a price I could afford. Also for an SUV of its size it is pretty economical I just have to stop at he pump every 1 1/2 weeks and I drive 40 miles per day. The interior has an excellent design and the car is extremely comfortable. The cabin makes minimal noise and the Bose audio system is awesome!

Pros

  • Styling: For a 3 year old car design it looks very nice and timeless.
  • Interior Space: Very spacious and has that storage capacity that fit my needs.
  • Ride and Handling: For a car of its size it rides really well.

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment: The Bluetooth it not very user friendly but maybe I just need to get used to it. Also I need to remember that there are better technologies now than at 2011.

- Daniela B, 2011 Mazda CX-9

Love my Mazda!

I would actually recommend this car for someone who won't have people in the backseat very often.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: The handling is my favorite part. I love a car with tight handling over a car that feels like a boat.
  • Seat Comfort: Leather heated seats? Yes, please!
  • Value: Perfect if you need a small car, but don't want to go back to hand crank windows. My little guy has all the luxuries of our full size car, but can squeeze into spots the other one would cringe at even considering trying to park there! And with the 2.5 engine, it'll get you where you're going!

Cons

  • Interior Space: Don't expect to put four cornbread feed football players in this little car without a fight.
  • Dashboard: With all the cool features, you would think the speed would be blaring at you so you could just glance and know exactly how fast you are going. I want to know if I am driving 62.5 mph, not just a little over 60, but definitely under 80.
  • Technology and Entertainment: When it comes to the navigation system, you are better off sticking with your maps app on your smart phone. You have to buy expensive SD cards so you will never be up to date.

Ludicrous fun, Awesome utility, Best car ever

With a combination of over 250 horses and 260 lb/ft of torque on tap, plus Mazda's incredible suspension and handling work, phenomenal transmission, and famously flawless ergonomics, this is the most fun car I've ever owned. Plus, it comfortably fits an infant car seat, a stroller, a full load of groceries, two dogs, and to 6ft adults at the same time, which is pretty incredible. All the usefulness of a 5-door with the no-compromises feel of a performance vehicle. It's everything I've ever wanted.

Pros

  • Power: Almost too powerful, and that's just so much fun.
  • Interior Space: It did two cross-country trips with two adults, a cat, two dogs, and luggage. It's more than ample.
  • Value: All the power and fun of cars costing twice as much? Plus nearly flawless performance? Around 20k used? Sign me up.

Cons

  • Technology and Entertainment: A little dated and finicky compared to newer models, but it was great for 2011.
