FAQ

Q: What's new on the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250?

A: As the last model year in the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-class, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 didn't have many changes made to it compared to prior years. However, the split rear folding seat became standard for 2014, providing a bit of extra packing room and space for the popular luxury compact car.

Q: What features in the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 are most important?

A: For a compact car, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 provides a lot of elbow room, part of the redesign from the second generation. This means that there's a lot more room in the back seat, an important feature for many families. Dual climate controls let you avoid the fight over the temperature, while the Panorama roof allows you to not just take in a little sun, but all the beauty nature has to offer.

Q: How much hp does a 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 have?

A: The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 is available with a 1.8L turbocharged direct-injection inline-four engine, which replaced the former 3.0L V6 engine as an attempt to improve fuel economy. The 1.8L inline-four engine produces 201 hp at 5,500 RPMs and provides 229 lb-ft of torque between 2,000 and 4,300 RPMs.

Q: Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 a rear-wheel drive vehicle?

A: Unlike some of the other vehicles available in the Mercedes-Benz C-class which have options for an all-wheel drive drivetrain, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 is only available with a rear-wheel drivetrain, which delivers all available power to the vehicle's rear wheels for better control on curves, turns and in traffic.

Generation Overview

Covering the 2008 to 2014 model years, the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz C250 saw the usual strong facelift from the previous generation, updating its appearance inside and out. At the same time, it added a stiffer body, longer wheelbase and larger interior, but without adding much weight to the model. Offered in both Sport and Luxury trim levels, the vehicle was available with both a 3.0L V6 engine producing 228 hp and a 3.5L V6 engine producing 268 hp, both of which were paired to a seven-speed transmission to improve fuel efficiency. The 2010 model saw the addition of a tire pressure sensor, while 2012 saw a light refresh, with new LED taillights and a more upscale interior. The 2012 model also saw a new engine option in a 1.8L turbocharged inline-four engine that produced 201 hp.

Reviews for 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250

Overall Rating

4.7 out of 5 (20 reviews)

I LOVE this car!

Acceleration, style, comfort, and handling. Admittedly, I was somewhat concerned about the cost of fuel, having to use premium instead of regular, but the mileage is so much better on it than my previous vehicle (Ford Escape), that it more than makes up the difference in cost.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: The cornering is fantastic!
  • Safety: Lots of safety features.
  • Power: Get up and go is a must for me and this little car has it.

Cons

  • Interior Space: This isn't a problem for me because I'm only 4'11", but my husband is 6'2". The head room is very slight for him and the leg room in the driver's side is limited as well; the legroom as a front seat passenger is okay though.
  • Cabin Noise: It is a little moise, but that is likelt due to the suspension and being so close to the ground. Just turn up the radio and party on down the road and you won't care :)

the car looks great but not very reliable. Once a week I experience some unknown problem. this definitely affects the value of the car being that I pay 612 a month with out the comforter of knowing I will be make it back home without worrying about car problems. Thankfully the problems are minor and easily defused.
