Love My Xterra

2008 Nissan Xterra Toni - Los Angeles, CA 09/26/2011

I L.O.V.E. my Nissan Xterra!!! It is comfortable, roomie, and smooth. I would recommend my car to anyone who is looking for a nice car to take road trips in.

Perfect Vehicle

2015 Nissan Xterra Nathan Barker - Pearland, TX 09/14/2016

Handles like a sports car! Very fast and agile....Stops on a dime and pulls my 22' boat with ease.....Turns on a dime and easy to park in small places....I recently took it camping and slept in the back like a tent.....good ground clearance for these bumpy flood prone Houston streets!

Deserves Its Great Reputation

2008 Nissan Xterra Joseph - Greensboro, NC 12/07/2012

If you're looking at an Xterra, chances are you already know that they get incredibly high reviews across the board. Consumer Reports has given glowing endorsements of Xterras from 20082011, as well as the older generation (20012004). From what we've experienced, this vehicle lives up to those positive reviews, and then some! It's a perfect blend of rugged off road ability, and interior creature comforts. We bought the high end trim, called "SE". That means, in addition to the standard things shared by the "X" and "S" trim lines, it adds on a majorly upgraded sound system by Rockford Fosgate, including all new speakers, better amp, a 6CD in-dash changer, two additional speakers in the front dash, and an added subwoofer under the driver's seat. The "SE" trim also adds bluetooth connectivity for your telephone (but not iPod), voice command recognition (voice memos, controlling the phone), on-steering-wheel audio controls, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and outside temperature, the trip odometer gets upgrades, so you can see your average MPG, distance to empty, trip time, etc. The "SE" gets larger aluminum wheels (17" instead of 16"), side step rails, fog lights, an auxilliary input jack for plugging in an iPod/iPad for music, a large removable cargo net in the back (along with the easy-clean rear compartment), and an exterior side strip of rubber to prevent door dings. It's also got window rain guards, which don't come on the low end "X" trim. It's a truck, to be sure, which means the ride is rougher than a Lexus, but compared to other trucks I've owned, this is by far the most comfortable. It's a BLAST to drive, and evidently they last forever.
