If you need 3 row utility but a minivan/Traverse/Explorer/Durango is too big, and you want some refinement but a sport/luxury sedan is not practical enough, the Tribeca is a great hybrid. There is a ton of room with the 3rd row folded, wide 2nd row for 3 with tons of legroom, and in a pinch or for smaller kids the 3rd row works fine, although it reduces 2nd row legroom. Nice crossover size and driving height. Great Harmon Kardon sound system option.
Our primary family car is a minivan and this could not replace that. But for a second car it works, is a lot more fun to drive, and of course the AWD is terrific.Pros
- Ride and Handling: AWD drive has rear wheel bias so it feels more like a rear drive car than front.
- Interior Space: Extremely flexible in that each of the 5 2nd/3rd row seats can fold separately, and 2nd row has a long range for sliding front to back.
- Styling: Conservative and understated. You don't see a lot of them which is nice.
Cons
- Fuel Economy: This is the one area of disapointment I have. The only good news here is that it runs on regular gas.
